CANCELLED: Czech and Eastern European Celebration

Tucson Concert Band presents a “Czech and Eastern European Celebration” featuring the music of Antonin Dvorak’s “New World Symphony”, “Humoresque and Slavonic Dance No. 8”, Bedrich Smetana’s “Dance of the Comedians” from his comic opera “The Bartered Bride”, Julius Fucik’s “Atilla” and “Florentiner“ Marches, Franz Lehar’s “Gold and Silver Waltz”, Franz Liszt’s “Friska”, Johannes Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No. 5, and others including a special piece written by Czech-born composer Karel Husa. This very special concert is sponsored by the Tucson Czech-Slovak Club and is free and open to the public. Donations will be graciously accepted and greatly appreciated.

Crowder Hall is in the College of Fine Arts complex, southeast of the intersection of Speedway Boulevard and Park Avenue. Use the Park Avenue garage at this intersection, free on weekends. Use the pedestrian underpass to reach the Fine Arts Complex. Crowder Hall is ahead on your right as you exit the underpass.
